"I want her to really know who I am
And then, and only then will she love me
Well at least that was the plan
If ever a boy needed a holiday
If ever a girl needed someone to hold
I just hope I don't act the same way
By the time that I get that old"

(The White Stripes - I Want To Be The Boy That Warms Your Mother's Heart)

Hello people! : )

Happy Chinese new year! Well, okay I'm late about a week, but still, welcome to the year of the snake. My shio (also called Chinese Zodiac) is snake too and some says when the year and your shio is matched, you're gonna have a bad luck on that year. I've read a prophecy from Suhu Yo--a famous Fengshui expert in my country--that on this year, people whose snake shio will financially down and because of it they'll often get headache -_- Well, I don't believe on prophecy anyway.

Since I moved to Bali, Chinese new year isn't a wow anymore. In my hometown, where a lot of Chinese live there, Chinese new year is like a big day. There are festival, barong-sai dance, and also the yummy kue keranjang. Even though, I'm not a Chinese--and none of my relatives are--every Chinese new year we always have kue keranjang at home. My mom's friend said that there's a philosophy behind the sweet taste and shape of this food, Chinese believe that it is a symbol of happiness, confidence and harmony for a year ahead. Fyi, celebrating Chinese new year in my country is prohibited and against the law until ex-president Abdurrachman Wahid allowed it on 2000.

Ouh, I almost forget that 3 days ago is also Valentine's day! Happy Valentine's day for you guys! And happy Halloween for some of you, hahaha. In my country, which most of the citizen are Muslim, Valentine's day always be a controversy; some peoples think that celebrating Valentine's day is deviated because it's like we commemorate St. Valentine's death and celebrating Valentine's day is originally a Christians culture. Moreover, they think that Valentine's day will be an excuse for teenager doing forbidden sex. Others think that Valentine's day is fine, it's just a special day when we express love to our lover, family or someone else. Pros and cons are normal in every situation. Just hoping nobody gets hurt because of its.

Well, for me, Valentine's day is just another average day because love can be expressed anytime, explicitly or just by some implicit action. The special things about Valentine's day are free chocolate! I got some chocolate snack from my besties at lunch time. I also got a venti cafe mocha and a NY cheese cake--which I prefer better than chocolate bar--from my bf. Holy sweet feline's God!

So, what's up, February? February is FUN!!
